The END

Well this chapter was very short! Pat decided to resign from his job at Loma Mar. For so many reasons the job wasn't a good fit for him, and sooner rather than later we came Back in Ecuador
I think we made a good choice and I think this trip was a good experience for us. We got to see many friends and spend the holidays like in the past, but most important we got to valued what we had here in Ecuador. It was good to come back to a nice home full of things we value and love. It was nice to come back to a family that care for us. It was nice to come back with fresh eyes and hearths.
Bye bye California!

Cold, cold

Well, we left the warm tropical weather in Ecuador to be cold here! But, there is so much good, warm people and a cozy place that they make up for that. I am not complaining :). After getting to excited to live here and spending a lot of time outdoors, Mateo got a cold that turned into an ear infection last week. We went to see the doctor and he prescribed antibiotics, after few days this kid is well again. Mom and Dad got the cold too and are still recovering. So we have been home most of the time.

Home for now

Having fun outdoors

We were able to take a break from being sick and have Christmas eve at Jesse and Valeria's and then Christmas day at Hidden Villa in Andy and Caroline's home. It was great and we felt just like old times, just like home.

We might be able to move into our new house very soon, maybe this weekend. Pat says it is looking very nice and we will like living there. We just need to make that place cozy with things and stuff and make it be our nice home for a while.

Home soon to be

New Chapter

Life unfolds in chapters so here it comes, my new chapter- Loma Mar.
After being Back in Ecuador for five months, we came back to the SFO Bay Area to live in a wonderful place surrounded by redwood trees . We have been here 12 days and we love it!
We are staying in a little cottage until the house we will move in permanently is remodeled. The house is big and it will look very nice once finished. There is a little orchard and garden in place and I look forward to grow veggies and fruit there. There is plenty space in our yard so I have been thinking it will be fun to have a couple of chickens for Mateo to feed everyday. Mateo and I will spend many, many hours outdoors exploring our new horizons while Pat have fun strengthening this place and getting it ready for summer camp.
We are also very fortunate to be back where we know, where many friends are, where life is known. We are so thankful.
